Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Enterprise Data Storage Administrator to lead our data storage operations and engineering efforts. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of enterprise data storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and DAS, and will be able to articulate and demonstrate their expertise across various platforms. As an Enterprise Data Storage Administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining our data storage infrastructure, ensuring data backups, and providing technical guidance to our teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a broad understanding of enterprise data storage environments, including SAN, NAS, and DAS technologies
  • Implement and maintain enterprise backup and data security technologies to ensure data integrity and availability
  • Efficiently manage and monitor reporting platforms and software to ensure optimal performance
  • Define and implement strategic capacity planning methodologies, based on industry standards and best practices
  • Collaborate with application, database, server, and other technology teams on architecture and solution design to ensure suitable storage technology and configuration
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills to prioritize and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Contribute clear and concise documentation for both routine and ad-hoc tasks
  • Provide technical support and guidance on complex activities, such as installation, configuration, and backup/restore operations for all systems
  • Perform code updates and security patching to maintain the security and integrity of storage systems

Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in data storage or a related field, with an emphasis on networking and storage protocols
  • Industry knowledge and experience with large-scale SAN design and implementation
  • Proven expertise in enterprise storage administration, with skill in DellEMC, Cisco, and similar OEMs
  • Strong understanding of current and emerging data protection technologies
  • Experience with NAS concepts and protocols (CIFS, NFS, and S3)
  • Knowledge of data synchronization technologies for both SAN and NAS
  • Operating system and network administration skills (both Linux and Windows)
  • VMWare concepts and administration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science or a related field (a combination of training, work experience, and education may be considered)
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Experience with production hardware life-cycle management
  • Extensive troubleshooting and performance monitoring skills
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
