Job Summary

As a Sales Associate at Wayfair's AllModern retail location, you'll be responsible for providing top-tier customer experiences, driving sales growth, and representing the Wayfair brand. You'll work in a hybrid role, splitting your time between our remote office and in-store environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver exceptional customer experiences, associating customers with the world's greatest and best home online collection, brought to life in our stores.
  • Guide customers through their inquiries on product features and functionality, style and product coordination, and cutting orders, including in-store integration and perpetual walkway.
  • Present the online combination and mobile web and application capabilities.
  • Influence your sales and brand knowledge/enthusiasm to help navigate customers through their design needs and purchases, utilizing the online variety to satisfy their requirements.
  • Assist walk-ins on the sales floor and in the design studio as needed.
  • Exhibit design choices through periodic utilization of preferred design tools - mood boards, 2D floor plans.
  • Navigate various software applications, third-party and proprietary tools to furnish customers with suggestions for their budget, style, and space.
  • Pose exceptional questions that allow you to provide a total sales solution for your customers.
  • Exhibit confidence in bringing the deal to a close and educating customers on different ways of buying, including through POS, Online, our Application, or through a Statement.
  • Be a specialist in the services offered online and in-store - credit, financing, warranty, installation, and delivery, always taking into account value adds to customer buys.
  • Participate in all functional parts of the store, including but not limited to: handling new products, floor sets, replenishing, replacements, and general maintenance of the store.
  • Epitomize a positive and professional demeanor consistently with customers and colleagues.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 1-2 years of sales or customer service experience.
  • Strong communication, self-motivation, and relationship management skills.
  • History of thriving in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team sales environment.
  • Technical acumen to learn vital software and systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the home goods, furniture, or decor industry.
  • Knowledge of design principles and trends.
  • Proficiency in software applications, including POS and design tools.
