Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Sr. Application Developer/Release Engineer to join our Life New Business Information Technology (NBIT) Team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for coordinating and releasing management activities, creating and maintaining automated CI/CD build and release pipelines using GitLab DevOps, and supporting full automation of CI/CD testing. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and release management activities, including creating and maintaining automated CI/CD build and release pipelines using GitLab DevOps
  • Support full automation of CI/CD testing and establish an automated DevOps release management pipeline (e.g., build, staging, testing, deployment)
  • Collaborate with internal development and QA teams to ensure end-to-end quality and adherence to Lincoln's Change Governance processes
  • Support day-to-day deployment activities for both production and non-production environments in on-premises and cloud
  • Troubleshoot issues along the CI/CD pipelines and assist with QA testing activities as needed
  • Support deployment DDL and DML deployments for Oracle and Postgresql, and assist with adoption and implementation of Liquibase
  • Validate and verify application resources after every deployment and assist with security validation tasks in on-premise and cloud environments

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in release management activities, understanding of deployment environments, including planning and scheduling of releases
  • 5+ years of experience working with multiple repositories, branches, and creating external pull requests to merge code with respective Master Branches
  • 5+ years of experience creating pipelines for multiple repos and building applications across pipelines and creating artifacts
  • 5+ years of experience integrating security scanning into DevOps Pipeline
  • Experience in integrating test automation into DevOps pipeline
  • Solid understanding of DevOps processes and best practices
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple responsibilities and priorities and manage time in a fast-paced and sometimes pressured environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Knowledge of source control (Git, TFVC, or similar)
  • Knowledge of Liquibase deployment patterns
  • Knowledge of network operating systems, software, and client-server hardware systems, and the ability to maintain them in a production environment
