We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Virtual Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a contract basis. This role is crucial in supporting our pharmacy and clinical operations, particularly during our upcoming launches. As a Contract Virtual Pharmacy Technician, you will be at the forefront of our mission, ensuring that our members receive timely and effective medication support. Your work will be instrumental in helping us achieve our goal of reversing type 2 diabetes in 100 million people.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and process prescriptions and prior authorizations for our member population, ensuring seamless pharmacy operations.
• Support various clinical tasks, including lab order processing, sending faxes, and communicating with primary care providers (PCPs) to facilitate comprehensive care.
• Act as a liaison between healthcare providers, pharmacies, and insurance companies, ensuring effective communication and problem resolution.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all pharmacy-related activities, adhering to the highest standards of data integrity.
• Work through a queue of provider requests to ensure timely completion and follow-up, demonstrating a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.

Essential Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must possess:

• A minimum of 2+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role, with a proven track record in prescription management and prior authorizations.
• Familiarity with electronic prescribing and prior authorization software, highlighting your adaptability to new technologies.
• Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring precision in your work.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to work collaboratively with pharmacies, insurance companies, and healthcare providers.
