Job Description
As a Virtual Assistant - Recruitment Support, you will play a vital role in supporting Mechanism Ventures' growing portfolio companies. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at helping Mechanism and their portfolio companies scale into world-class organizations. Your primary focus will be on recruitment support, including high-volume sourcing, interviews, and candidate communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Candidate sourcing and coordination for recruitment projects, ensuring timely and effective communication with candidates and hiring teams.
- Conducting initial screening interviews with prospective job candidates via video calls, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Managing email inboxes and coordinating with key contacts to ensure seamless communication and follow-up.
- Supporting administrative projects and other business tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Utilizing various recruitment tools and platforms, such as Indeed, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other ATS platforms, to streamline recruitment processes.
Essential Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Recruitment Support, with a proven track record of success in high-volume sourcing, interviews, and candidate communications.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English, with strong spelling, grammar, and syntax skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace tools (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, etc.), with the ability to quickly learn new tools and processes.
- Tech-savvy and able to adapt to new technologies and systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment, with a understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities that come with it.
- Familiarity with Indeed, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other ATS platforms, with the ability to leverage these tools to streamline recruitment processes.
- A test-and-learn mindset, with a willingness to experiment and try new approaches.
- A humble and receptive attitude, with a openness to feedback and a willingness to ask for help when needed.

Work Environment and Company Culture
Mechanism Ventures is a fully remote company, and this role is equivalent to full-time. You will be expected to be available to work Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET/New York. As a virtual assistant, you will have the flexibility to work from wherever you are most productive, as long as you have a quiet, professional space for calls.
Compensation and Benefits
