This campaign aims to raise awareness about Strava's Student Plan and drive participation in a unique collegiate competition exclusively on Strava. As a part-time contract position, this role offers an exceptional opportunity for a college student or recent graduate to gain invaluable experience in marketing, community engagement, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan to promote Strava's Student Plan among college students.
  • Identify, recruit, and manage campus ambassadors and influencers to champion Strava and drive engagement.
  • Coordinate physical and virtual events to create buzz around the collegiate competition and foster a sense of community.
  • Create authentic, engaging content to resonate with the collegiate audience and drive awareness.
  • Manage multiple projects and relationships simultaneously, ensuring timely communication and meticulous organization.
  • Leverage digital marketing fundamentals, including email, web, and social media, to build and execute the marketing strategy.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A strong background in community organizing, grassroots marketing, or a related field, with a proven ability to raise awareness and bring students together.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience in recruiting and managing campus influencers or ambassadors.
  • A solid understanding of digital marketing principles, including email, web, and social media, with the ability to develop and execute a marketing plan.
  • Creative content creation skills, with the ability to develop innovative ideas that drive awareness and engagement.
  • Meticulous organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and relationships simultaneously.
  • A passion for sports and fitness, with experience in intramural, club, or varsity sports, or a strong understanding of the fitness scene on campus.

Preferred Requirements

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • A senior in college or a recent college graduate.
  • Regular use of Strava and familiarity with its features and functionality.
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Suite and Dropbox.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to consistently dedicate 15-25 hours per week.
  • Familiarity with a range of marketing techniques and a self-starting, entrepreneurial spirit.

Compensation and Benefits

This part-time contract position offers a competitive hourly rate of $32/hour, with a commitment of approximately 20 hours per week for 12 weeks. While the role is remote, some travel may be required during the campaign.
