We're looking for a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team on a part-time remote basis. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our paid media investigation capability, working closely with marketing teams to identify areas of improvement and develop tailored reporting and analysis to inform our paid media strategy.

Job Summary
As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting our paid media investigation capability to surface data-driven key opportunities for the Chief Authority group, focusing on streamlining our paid media spend globally. You will work closely with marketing teams to identify ways to improve the efficiencies of our paid media spend and develop reporting and analysis to inform our paid media strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver tailored reporting and analysis to inform our paid media strategy and drive business growth.
- Work closely with marketing teams to identify areas of improvement and optimize paid media spend.
- Design and build analysis, BI, and data science solutions to enhance paid media and improve marketing efficiencies.
- Collaborate with paid media data science teams and marketing teams to implement media mix models.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis through database querying, followed by insightful understanding of results and communication of recommendations that drive action.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including advertising, finance, and data product teams, to tackle business challenges and track marketing and product performance using a data-driven approach.
- Leverage SQL, MicroStrategy, Tableau, Excel, and other reporting tools to create and maintain scheduled and ad-hoc reports.
- Analyze data to identify business issues and lead deep dives to perform root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to leverage data (internal data from Amazon and external data from market research and advertising agencies) and address complex business challenges by delivering actionable insights.
- Conceptualize and run analysis that produce insights on customer behavior and customer needs to inform product development and improvement.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Consulting in an online business environment or related field.
- Advanced SQL experience.
- Proficient in at least one industry analysis and metrics visualization tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QuickSight).
- Expert-level Excel skills with a proven track record.
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business, Economics, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a team of highly engaged individuals.
- Passion for numbers, data, and metrics, as well as delivering high-quality analysis.
- Strong bias for action, highly organized, and ability to complete tasks and projects with minimal direction and tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both business leaders and technical teams.
- Experience with subscription-based or media content organizations.
- Experience with and/or interest in learning more about state-of-the-art data science approaches.
- Programming languages: knowledge of Python.
- Knowledge of other programming languages, such as Java or C#, or statistical software like R or SAS.
- Knowledge of Adobe Analytics.

Schedule
As a part-time remote Business Analyst, you will work a flexible schedule, including:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (with breaks and flexible hours).
- Saturday and Sunday: Flexible hours, depending on workload and personal availability.
