Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Customer Experience and Sales Representative to join our team remotely, working within Pacific Time Zone hours. As a primary inside contact for our customers, you'll be responsible for ensuring all their needs are met by taking ownership of fulfillment activities, providing standard product recommendations, pricing, and resolving information-related complaints. You'll proactively interact with customers, technical service, sales, distribution centers, manufacturing, purchasing, and credit teams to provide quick responses and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries received by phone, email, and fax, documenting interactions in Salesforce.
  • Recommend, quote, sample, and sell VBS products, as well as document opportunities where VBS products do not meet customer requirements.
  • Take ownership of order fulfillment activities, from receipt of order to delivery and invoicing, verifying accuracy against documented procedures.
  • Process order changes and cancellations, and recommend alternative product constructions if required.
  • Monitor open work orders, expedite as needed, and proactively notify customers of late or problem orders.
  • Resolve customer-specific freight and logistics issues/questions through consultation with Flexcon Shipping Departments.
  • Utilize the E-price tool to support customer inquiries, including VBS product recommendations, price quotes, and application sheets.
  • Resolve information-related customer complaints, implement corrective action, and confirm resolution to customers.
  • Proactively engage assigned accounts to better understand business applications and uncover missed opportunities.
  • Assist with order entry overflow, standard price quotations overflow, and entry of new customer information.
  • Contribute to Customer Service Improvement Teams as required and cross-train new employees when appropriate.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience.
  • 1-3 years of previous customer service experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using an ERP system and Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel) is highly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to learn quickly and work under pressure.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative team spirit and adaptability.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Salesforce.com.
  • Knowledge of the flexible packaging and label industry.
