About the Role

As an Engineer L2 with our A319/A320/A321 Fleet Engineering Team, you'll play a critical role in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues on transport category aircraft. Your expertise will help improve the reliability of various aircraft systems through project management, ensuring that our fleet operates safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities

  • Stay Informed and Prioritize Tasks: Keep up-to-date on day-to-day airline operations within your field of responsibility and assess daily priorities in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management directives.
  • Investigate and Resolve Aircraft/Component Problems: Investigate aircraft/component problems that may cause delays or cancellations, substantial expenditures, or interruptions in maintenance operations, and determine appropriate corrective actions.
  • Provide Engineering Support: Offer Engineering support for disposition of discrepant conditions affecting aircraft or components to restore serviceable status.
  • Respond to Requests and Support Projects: Respond to requests from Maintenance and other airline departments when technical assistance is required to support projects or resolve problems.
  • Develop Action Plans and Pursue Dispositions: Develop action plans for fleet/multi-fleet and/or component engineering projects and pursue final dispositions according to assessed priorities.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Coordinate with other airline departments to provide for effective and efficient implementation of engineering dispositions.
  • Prepare Engineering Documents: Prepare Engineering documents to implement technical dispositions by providing customized procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance actions.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Related Field: A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required.
  • Relevant Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in aircraft engineering, maintenance, or a related field.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of aircraft systems, structures, and maintenance procedures.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree or Certification: An advanced degree or certification in engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with Aircraft Systems: Experience working with aircraft systems, such as electrical, hydraulic, or mechanical systems.
  • Project Management Experience: Experience with project management, including developing and implementing action plans.
  • Familiarity with Airline Operations: Familiarity with airline operations, including maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) procedures.
