About DynaMed and the Systematic Literature Surveillance (SLS) Process

DynaMed is designed to provide healthcare professionals with the most current and useful synthesized evidence at the point of care. The SLS process is a critical component of DynaMed, ensuring that the information is accurate, up-to-date, and relevant. As a Medical Literature Reviewer, you will play a vital role in this process, working closely with our team of writers, clinicians, and scientists to identify and evaluate evidence within the field of Adult Emergency Medicine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and review medical literature within the specialty of Adult Emergency Medicine to determine clinical utility and relevance for inclusion in DynaMed.
  • Provide expertise on evidence-based medicine and clinical practice guidelines to ensure that DynaMed remains current and accurate.
  • Effectively communicate with external experts, writers, clinicians, and scientists to clarify and discuss evidence and its application.
  • Commit to working approximately 1-4 hours per month on a regular basis to review evidence and meet or exceed goals.
  • Utilize provided resources, tools, and training to ensure success as a Medical Literature Reviewer.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Physician or Advanced Practice Provider actively practicing as an Adult Emergency Medicine Physician.
  • Current board certification (or board eligible) in good standing in Adult Emergency Medicine.
  • Physicians in residency or fellowship training will also be considered.
  • Breadth and depth of knowledge in the field of Adult Emergency Medicine, demonstrated through clinical experience, teaching, and research.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong clinical skills and experience in emergency medicine.
  • Familiarity with and interest in evidence-based medicine and its application in clinical practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
