 - Maintaining accurate records: Record and track student progress, tokens earned, and lesson plans.
 - Participating in staff meetings and training: Attend periodic staff meetings, complete ongoing training, and participate in certification training for each Sylvan program.
 
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed as a Sylvan Learning Center tutor, you will need:
Language Arts and Study Skills Program Teachers
- Four-year degree or equivalent: A degree in education, language arts, or a related field.
 - Teaching experience: A minimum of one or two years of teaching experience, preferably in language arts or a related field.
 - Knowledge of phonics and reading comprehension: A strong understanding of phonics and reading comprehension, with the ability to teach these skills to students.
 
Math Program Teachers
- Four-year degree or equivalent: A degree in mathematics, education, or a related field.
