Position Overview

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, Healthcare Security and Compliance, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive security and compliance programs that meet the highest standards of excellence. You will work closely with our Product Security team, Service teams, Pharmacy Operations teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that our services are compliant with our security and privacy policies and regulatory requirements. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in driving process improvements, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring that our customers' trust is maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop deep knowledge of privacy and security obligations, processes, best practices, and solutions utilized across Amazon, and leverage this knowledge to drive requirements and process improvements within Amazon Pharmacy.
  • Perform independent and objective, risk-based impact assessments of Amazon Pharmacy processes and related controls to identify areas for improvement and optimize operations.
  • Consult with compliance, legal, policy, business process, and service owners to ensure that robust controls are in place to meet and exceed regulatory obligations and industry standards.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing consultation and recommendations for enhancements and new controls to improve privacy and security posture and reduce risk.
  • Escalate trends and insights through continuous monitoring and reporting to management, and support business and stakeholders by seeking out opportunities to simplify and automate metrics and reporting.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, Healthcare Security and Compliance, your day-to-day responsibilities will be diverse and challenging. You will contribute to key Product Security initiatives, coordinate and simplify processes, and maintain high collaboration and trust with stakeholders across the organization. The HealthSec ProdSec team is a highly engaged Embedded Security Team that helps our build teams deliver secure software. Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience, with a focus on security and compliance.
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams, with experience in software development and technical program management.
  • 3+ years of experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
  • Proven experience in compliance or risk program management, with a deep understanding of control effectiveness, risk management, and mitigation strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the essential qualifications, we prefer candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
  • Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules.
  • Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company, and we offer a range of benefits and perks, including equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation.
