About the Role and Team
In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of sales professionals who share your passion for delivering exceptional client experiences. As a Senior Sales Manager, you will report to the Sales Director - Resort Sales and will be responsible for promoting our resort's unique meetings experience to clients from around the world. Our 4:1 hybrid schedule allows for high-value communication between multiple cross-functional partners, ensuring that you are always connected and informed.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop meeting opportunities through new business acquisition, sales calls, tradeshows, and other sales activities to drive revenue growth and expand our client base.
- Design and implement targeted sales plans against assigned markets, leveraging your knowledge of market conditions, buyer behavior, and industry trends.
- Host site inspections and client entertainment opportunities to showcase our resort's unique features and amenities, building strong relationships with clients and driving sales conversions.
- Craft creative meeting and event solutions that represent the Disney brand, leveraging our legendary dedication to creativity, innovation, and customer service.
- Represent the Disney brand in all client interactions, embodying our values of excellence, integrity, and respect for our clients, colleagues, and community.
Required Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in sales, hospitality, and customer service, with a minimum of five years of experience in Resort/Group/Convention Hotel Sales, National Sales, Global Sales, or Catering Sales. At least three years of experience at a Senior level is required, with a proven track record of driving sales growth, expanding client relationships, and leading cross-functional teams. You will also need to have:
- Hospitality experience in a group/convention sales environment within the past two years, with a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, market trends, and buyer behavior.
- Experience in sophisticated and complex groups, with the ability to navigate complex sales processes, negotiate contracts, and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrated client management and knowledge of market conditions and buyers in national and competitive marketplaces, with a strong network of contacts and relationships in the industry.
- Proficiency with Digital selling, virtual site visits, and Social Media technology in a sales environment, with the ability to leverage technology to drive sales growth, enhance client engagement, and improve sales productivity.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Multi-Hotel or Cluster Sales experience, with a deep understanding of the complexities of managing multiple properties, teams, and sales processes.
- Destination Management Organizations & Hotel Experience combined, with a strong network of contacts and relationships in the industry.
- Experience in the Orlando market, with a deep understanding of the local hospitality industry, market trends, and buyer behavior.
- Luxury brand experience, with a strong understanding of the luxury hospitality market, high-end client expectations, and premium service delivery.
- Industry accreditation (CMP, CASE, CHSE), with a commitment to ongoing learning, professional development, and industry leadership.
- Participation in a local/regional/national hospitality industry organization, with a strong network of contacts and relationships in the industry.
Education and Career Development
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is preferred, with a strong foundation in sales, marketing, hospitality, or a related field.
