About the Role

The Powerplant Designing Group is an integral part of Southwest Airlines' Technical Operations department, responsible for directing engine and Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) maintenance requirements. As a Part Time Powerplant Engineer, you will work closely with various departments, field maintenance engineers, and powerplant manufacturers to resolve technical, maintenance, and operational issues. Your expertise will be essential in evaluating engineering document arrangements and procedures to determine necessary changes, ensuring the highest standards of safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in various engineering projects in a maintenance or operations environment, gaining hands-on experience with aircraft under management.
