About the Company and Role
Workwarp is partnering with Southwest Airlines to find a talented Senior Cybersecurity Engineer who can help shape the company's cybersecurity landscape. As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing secure authentication and authorization services, providing security guidance to application and development teams, and staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide security guidance to application and development teams to remediate security vulnerabilities, risk items, and policy exceptions.
 - Develop and deliver training for clients on the use of key cybersecurity frameworks and digital environments.
 - Identify cybersecurity issues, design solutions, recommend software and systems, and guide improvements in a systematic way to meet business requirements.
 - Act as a problem solver to reflect the latest cybersecurity standards and practices.
 - Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and advocate for IT Security policies and reference models.
 - Collaborate with production analysts to identify defects and complete testing.
 - Manage prompt response and support to production program issues.
 - Lead the team to find the best solution and express thought leadership while ideating and testing group think.
 - Stay abreast of industry trends and develop business cases for changes.
 - Perform other work obligations as directed by Employee's Chiefs.
 
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree and have a strong background in cybersecurity, with a focus on PCI Tokenization, authentication, and authorization. The ideal candidate will have:
- Preferred skills in security-related programming - authentication, authorization, TLS, network segmentation (e.g., AWS NACLs, route tables, security groups, Kubernetes network policies).
 - Proficiency in Agile best practices and continuous improvement.
 - Experience with at least one cloud computing technology and its concepts, such as AWS.
 - Skilled in infrastructure as-code (IaC) development (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar) and automated configuration management using configuration as-code (CaC) development (Cook, Puppet, Ansible, or similar).
 - Experience with Online Protection explicit Reconciliation Tests providing Identity, Security Policy, and Cryptography.
 - Knowledge of at least one implementation, logging, and monitoring tools, such as Prometheus, ELK Stack, AppD, and their integration into platform tools like AWS CloudWatch.
 - Familiarity with at least one certification management tools and solutions, such as AWS Secrets Manager, CyberArk, or Hashicorp Vault.
 - Ability to create defined version jobs for Continuous Integration of Security and environmental factors.
 - Knowledge of at least one existing components in value pipeline, such as PingFederate, eDirectory, Dynamic Registry, CyberArk, or Micro Focus IDM.
 - Proficiency in at least two programming and development languages, such as Java, TypeScript, Python, Go, Rust, and Lua.
 - Experience with Secure Proxy and/or API Gateway - Emissary Proxy, F5 APM, PingAccess, Layer 7 API Gateway, AWS API Gateway.
 - Knowledge of Authorization like XACML, OPA (Open Policy Agent), or Cedar.
 - Familiarity with Distributed Systems like REST, gRPC, Soap, and CORBA.
 - Understanding of Data Protection - PCI tokenization, pseudonymization, x.509 declarations, and/or mutual TLS.
 - Excellent communication, collaboration, organization, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
 - Experience with identity federation protocols - OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, and WS-Trust.
