About the Role: Leading Cyber Threat Intelligence Analysis

The Senior Analyst - Cyber Intelligence is a critical position that involves leading the collection, analysis, and dissemination of cyber threat intelligence to protect United Airlines' digital assets. As a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for analyzing open-source, confidential, and classified information to identify potential cyber threats and attacks. Your insights will be crucial in informing our cybersecurity strategies and ensuring the safety and security of our operations.

Key Responsibilities: Threat Analysis, Intelligence Sharing, and Incident Response

  • Lead Cyber Threat Intelligence Analysis: Spearhead the collection, analysis, assessment, and dissemination of cyber threat intelligence from various sources, including open-source, confidential, and classified information.
  • Develop and Present Threat Reports: Create comprehensive cyber threat reports for diverse audiences, including executive-level stakeholders, and present findings to inform cybersecurity decisions.
  • Oversee Intelligence Collection: Manage the collection of cyber intelligence from various sources, ensuring that our threat intelligence is comprehensive and up-to-date.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Share intelligence with key corporate, industry, and government stakeholders, including the Aviation Information Sharing and Analysis Center, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Department of Homeland Security.
  • Incident Response Expertise: Provide technical expertise and research support during incident response engagements, helping to identify actor motivations and tactics.

Essential Qualifications: Cybersecurity Expertise and Intelligence Analysis

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as cybersecurity, intelligence analysis, or computer science.
  • Cybersecurity Experience: At least 4 years of experience in cybersecurity-related roles, with a focus on threat intelligence, threat hunting, and/or SIEM.
  • Intelligence Cycle Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the intelligence cycle and the ability to interpret and apply finished and raw intelligence.
  • Legal Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications: Enhancing Your Application

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, Security+, GCTI, or CCIP, demonstrating your expertise in cybersecurity.
  • Diverse Experience: Experience in areas like Fraud, network topologies, intrusion detection, or incident response, which can broaden your understanding of cybersecurity threats.
  • Scripting and Programming: Familiarity with scripting or programming languages, such as C, Python, Ruby, or Javascript, which can enhance your analytical capabilities.
