Job Summary: Provide Exceptional Customer Service and Support

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll play a critical role in providing exceptional support to our customers, beneficiaries, and providers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Interacting with beneficiaries and providers: Respond to inquiries, concerns, and appeals via phone, email, and mail.
  • Creating, formatting, and proofreading letters: Ensure timely and accurate communication with customers and stakeholders.
  • Managing timeliness and productivity: Prioritize tasks and meet productivity and quality standards.
  • Decision-making and problem-solving: Resolve complex appeals and issues in a fair and timely manner.
  • Building relationships: Foster effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Utilizing internal quality control tools: Assess individual work and team processes to ensure quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities: Customer Service, Communication, and Administrative Tasks

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:

Customer Service and Communication

  • Respond to beneficiary and provider inquiries via phone, email, and mail.
  • Provide clear and concise information about our services and programs.
  • Resolve complex appeals and issues in a fair and timely manner.
  • Foster effective working relationships with internal and external customers.

Administrative Tasks

  • Create, format, and proofread letters and other correspondence.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and files.
  • Utilize internal quality control tools to assess individual work and team processes.

Qualifications: Experience, Education, and Skills

To succeed as a Customer Service Representative at Arsenault, you'll need:

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent: Required.
  • Post-high school business courses: Helpful.
  • Medical terminology: Desired.
  • Two to three years of clerical experience: Including word processing, various filing systems, and telephone customer service responsibilities.
  • Prior work in a healthcare setting or medical terminology: Recommended.

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent verbal communication skills: Courteous and patient demeanor.
  • Good grammar, punctuation, spelling, and written communications skills: Essential.
  • Customer-focused and results-oriented: Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
  • General knowledge of PC-based computer systems: Desirable.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments: Essential.
  • Good organizational skills: Ability to work independently.
