Project Manager- New Construction

This role offers the opportunity to lead large-scale construction projects from inception through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met. You will collaborate closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver complex projects, manage risks, and maintain financial performance. The position combines hands-on project oversight with strategic planning, requiring strong organizational skills, technical knowledge, and effective communication. This is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys problem-solving, and has experience managing multi-million-dollar construction projects.

Accountabilities:

  • Establish project objectives, policies, and performance standards in alignment with corporate guidelines.
  • Oversee projects from estimating through close-out, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Manage project financials, forecasts, and profitability while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Develop and maintain CPM schedules to ensure on-time completion of projects.
  • Advise senior management on overall project progress and critical issues affecting schedule or budget.
  • Scope, negotiate, and draft subcontract agreements, manage progress invoicing, and oversee subcontractor/vendor payments.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and industry standards, including safety regulations and risk mitigation requirements.
  • Manage day-to-day project activities, including procurement, submittals, RFIs, and change orders, ensuring timely project close-out.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing ground-up, large-scale high-rise residential projects.
  • Experience with projects in office, government, hi-tech, hospitality, healthcare, retail, or multi-family sectors is a plus.
  • Proven track record managing projects ranging from $50M to $80M+.
  • LEED accreditation preferred.
  • Strong skills in coordination, shop drawing review, subcontractor management, budgeting, cost control, and scheduling.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Prolog, Primavera P6, Textura, BlueBeam, AS-400 (JD Edwards).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to work effectively across all levels.
  • Ability to navigate construction sites safely and perform moderate to heavy physical activity, including climbing, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and standing for extended periods.
