Key Responsibilities: Supporting Student Success

• Tutor students in various mathematics disciplines, including developmental math, to help them acquire the necessary skills to succeed in their coursework.
• Supervise Tutoring Lab Aides and Peer Tutors, ensuring a productive and supportive learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, instructors, and staff, providing exceptional customer service and responding to student needs.
• Perform data entry, record keeping, and general office duties as needed, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and motivation.
• Implement and enforce Tutoring Center and A-B Tech policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring compliance and consistency.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Tutoring Center Coordinator, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing needs.

Essential Qualifications: Education and Experience

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree or higher with significant coursework in Mathematics or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in mathematical concepts and principles.
• Experience teaching or tutoring in a higher education setting and/or relevant work experience, showcasing your ability to support student learning and success.
• Patience and the ability to multitask, handling multiple student needs and requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex mathematical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in using a graphing calculator, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and tools.
