Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality instruction and support to students in various educational settings, including elementary, middle, and high schools.
• Develop and implement lesson plans, adapting to the needs of the classroom and the students.
• Manage classroom behavior, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to ensure a smooth and successful assignment.
• Participate in 1:1 check-ins with your Scoot consultant to discuss school feedback, develop your skills, and address any concerns.

Essential Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits.
• Three professional references, including one from a previous direct supervisor.
• NJ Substitute Credential.
• Background check and TB risk assessment (we'll cover the cost of this).
• Full COVID-19 vaccination.
• A passion for education and putting students first.
• An empathetic nature, a growth mindset, and a drive to be the best you can be.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous teaching or substitute teaching experience.
• Special education or paraprofessional experience.
• Experience working with diverse student populations.
