About the Role

As an Assistant Faculty member, you will play a vital role in creating an optimal learning environment for our online students. You will work closely with our instructional faculty to support student success, foster engagement, and provide supplemental instruction. Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze student activity within discussions and assessments, responding appropriately based on training and input from the lead instructor.
  • Assist in managing student communications, escalating unique issues to the lead instructor as needed.
  • Support grading and provide constructive feedback to students.
  • Monitor student engagement levels, providing recommendations to enhance participation and success.
  • Assist the lead instructor with tutoring, live sessions, and other student support initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the lead instructor to develop supplemental support materials, such as documents, videos, and job aids.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to student success.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution (terminal degree preferred for certain courses).
  • Professional experience in the field of study (preferred, and may be required depending on course credentialing requirements).
  • Previous teaching experience, with online teaching experience highly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with faculty, coaches, and learners.
  • Demonstrated effective time management skills, with strong attention to detail and initiative.
  • Experience working with diverse learning styles and comfortable using technology to facilitate learning.
  • Professional certification in discipline specialty (if required, depending on course credentialing requirements).

  • The ability to effectively communicate, both up and down the management chain.

  • The ability to work independently in a remote setting, with minimal supervision.
