The Opportunity
This is a permanent remote position that requires a strong and diverse skillset to drive success. As an Inside Sales Support Associate, you will work closely with the Distributor Sales Team to analyze customer sales data, identify sales trends and opportunities, and initiate sales opportunities with both existing and new customers. You will be responsible for managing new price requests, maintaining clean records of customer information and pricing within the CRM software system, and serving as a liaison between Sales Agencies, Distributors, and Territory Managers. Your exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a time-sensitive environment will make you an invaluable asset to our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze customer sales data to identify sales trends and opportunities with management
- Initiate sales opportunities with both existing and new customers via outbound cold calling and in-bound calls
- Manage new price requests and maintain clean records of customer information and pricing within the CRM software system
- Serve as a liaison between Sales Agencies, Distributors, and Territory Managers
- Answer questions via email or phone regarding existing orders in a timely manner
- Follow up on sample requests and new quotes in a timely manner consistent with Keystone policies
- Check availability on orders and stock and communicate to customers and internal stakeholders in a timely manner
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field (preferred)
- Lighting product knowledge (required)
- 1-2 years of sales experience in a similar inside sales role
- Outstanding customer service skills with attention to rapid responses, clarity in communications, and a strong drive to exceed customer expectations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to perform in a time-sensitive work environment
- Comfortable with phone interaction and very good verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience working with CRM software systems
- Knowledge of the commercial and industrial lighting industry
- Previous experience working in a remote or virtual team environment
