Job Responsibilities

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician on the 3rd shift, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing complex equipment and machinery in our production plant. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support to production lines by troubleshooting failures and making necessary repairs to maximize efficiencies
  • Completing all assigned work orders and preventative maintenance tasks through SAP
  • Participating in rebuilds and overhauls on production line and support equipment
  • Assisting with parts management and communicating any deficiencies to the Parts Planner
  • Providing consistent communication with fellow maintenance staff through End of Shift reports
  • Supporting the Swire Manufacturing Continuous Improvement (SMCI) process by participating in established routines with production operators
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace and following established safety, quality, and environmental policies
  • Operating the SAP Computerized Maintenance Management system for inventory and production line operational excellence
  • Cleaning tools, parts, and equipment after line rebuilds/repairs/maintenance
  • Installing new equipment as necessary and providing technical expertise to train and support production
  • Operating and monitoring equipment and replenishing materials as needed
  • Conducting quality reviews of equipment to maintain safety and performance standards

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High School diploma or equivalent degree/certificate
  • Trade School certification preferred
  • 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Excellent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read schematics and diagrams
  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • Experience working with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC systems
  • Ability to learn new software and interfaces quickly and strong computer skills
  • Carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, welding, and fabrication skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, production operators, and industrial technology preferred
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as directed by the business
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
