Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Math Tutor to join our TRiO SSS Project SOAR team. Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one tutoring and instructional support to students with disabilities in math, from pre-college math to Calculus 1

 - Help students develop effective study habits, time management skills, and self-confidence, with a focus on promoting independence and self-advocacy
 - Establish positive and supportive relationships with students, faculty, and staff, and work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
 - Maintain accurate records of student progress and tutoring sessions, and participate in regular team meetings and professional development activities
 
Essential Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in math or a related field preferred
 - Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with students with diverse backgrounds and abilities
 - Proven classroom excellence (grade A or B) in math, with a strong understanding of math concepts and principles
 - Ability to communicate complex math concepts in a clear and concise manner, using a variety of teaching methods and strategies
 - Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and grow as a tutor and educator
