Job Overview: (USA) Coach/Ops Mgr Trainee

We are seeking an ambitious and skilled individual to join our team as a (USA) Coach/Ops Mgr Trainee. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback to enhance performance and customer service standards.
  • Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction to drive business results and achieve sales goals.
  • Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards, following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model, and ensure customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved.
  • Drive financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating P&L statements, managing expenses, and developing action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, and ensuring diversity and inclusion awareness.
  • Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments, developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, and identifying and addressing improvement opportunities.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training may be required.
  • For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including responsibility for performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
