Our Live Sports team is responsible for delivering high-quality live events to our customers, and we're looking for a skilled Digital Workflow Manager to help us achieve this goal.
Job Summary
As a Digital Workflow Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day workflow of all assets, ensuring that they are efficiently delivered as required. You will work closely with production teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to manage timely delivery of assets, and liaise with them regularly to ensure best practices are communicated throughout the delivery process.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day workflow of all assets to ensure they are efficiently delivered as required.
- Create a media delivery requirements (MDR) document for all sports in the portfolio to ensure that all needed media assets are recorded, catalogued, and named in a consistent manner.
- Work closely with production teams and vendors to manage timely delivery of assets.
- Liaise with production teams (internal and external) and vendors regularly to ensure best practices are communicated as the delivery of assets move into the QC stage.
- Ensure that all assets and documents (broadcast materials, archival elements/paperwork) are efficiently delivered as required (this includes but is not limited to confirming that assets adhere to technical specifications, follow mandated file naming conventions and pass QC).
- Learn new platforms as in-house media asset management tools expand.
- Collaborate with Amazon technology teams to improve existing tools and operational workflows by identifying problem areas and providing smart solutions.
- Set file retention policies based on projects and workflows.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of media management experience in a similar role, with a focus on live sports production and technical workflows.
- Prior experience with metadata creation, management & remediation best practices in a media management environment.
- Demonstrate knowledge of video, audio, and image encoding formats and industry best practices in live sports production.
- Prior experience and understanding of the workflow within a marketing, production, or creative department or company, with a focus on live sports production.
- Prior experience with high-volume, high-velocity, large-scale file management (workflow orchestration, file-movement, permission management, etc.).
- Prior experience with budgeting, scheduling, and technical workflows in a live sports production environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Library Science, Information Science, or Media Production (or equivalent experience in Media Management operations or admin role), or equivalent work experience.
- Experience working on or with large-scale, global projects in live sports production.
- Previous experience with metadata schema development & input, organizing a large number of files, high-resolution file transmissions (FTP, servers, etc.), file naming conventions, and database reporting.
- Experience in digital asset media migration and consolidation in a live sports production environment.
- Experience with common editing programs (e.g. Avid, Final Cut, Premier).
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders in a live sports production environment.
- Adaptability and resilience to quick changes in priorities, tools, workflow and technology in a fast-paced live sports production environment.
- Experience educating non-technical stakeholders and working across multiple teams and regions in a live sports production environment.
- Ability to problem-solve and multi-task in fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Extremely detail-oriented, organized, and a team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Project management experience in a live sports production environment.
