About the Role: Senior Manager for Educational Planning and Development


We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead, inspire, and develop a team of educational planners in the transformation of our training products and strategies for Contact Centers, Airports, and Cargo. As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for supporting over 30,000 frontline colleagues in serving the travel needs of our customers around the world. This is a remote job opportunity that offers a competitive salary of $27/hour and the chance to work with a dynamic team of professionals who are passionate about learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, inspire, and develop a team of educational planners to design and deliver innovative training programs that meet the needs of our frontline colleagues.
  • Apply agile methodologies and emerging technologies to lead the business forward in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effectively and efficiently deliver remote learning capabilities, and evolve from traditional classroom or electronic training to a blended environment, integrating self-serve training through touch devices and other enhanced training media and methods.
  • Collaborate with product, technology, business, and finance teams to integrate technologies that align with enterprise needs and reduce colleague effort.
  • Identify, anticipate, and communicate decisively innovative training and learning strategies as technologies continue to evolve.
  • Design and deliver groundbreaking training programs within budget and on time, utilizing technology capabilities and emphasizing quality, impact, and speed to market.
  • Establish and evaluate metrics that measure the impact, effectiveness, and efficiency of all training programs, ensuring effective resource utilization and speed of delivery.
  • Lead the training development team to successfully deliver on performance objectives for training products and programs, including 80% of new hires achieving predicted targets within 90 days, and 85% of repeat training candidates achieving predicted performance expectations.
  • Apply data-driven insights to develop solutions that improve training impact, effectiveness, and efficiency.
  • Build frameworks for dynamic content development, maintenance, and delivery that is centered on a modularized approach and agile training responses to address performance gaps.
  • Manage SCORM-compliant Knowledge Management System (KMS) training content and related data check tests and assessments.
  • Closely collaborate and coordinate with different stakeholders to leverage available resources and maintain alignment with key business objectives.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Graduate degree in Instructional Design, Learning and Development, or Education, or relevant field or equivalent training/experience.
  • 3+ years of experience leading educational planning teams with a demonstrated ability to identify and apply new learning technologies and strategies.
  • Experience in leadership roles, developing colleagues and directing cross-functional teams.
  • Broad experience managing and implementing large, complex projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of managerial experience in a Learning and Development, Technical Training, program management, or operations role, implementing training programs.
  • Driven proven successful training programs that improved employee performance and positively impacted the business's overall performance and effectiveness.

Skills, Licenses, and Certifications:



  • Key knowledge of curriculum design and adult learning theories.

  • Effectively manages content/training programs at low costs using agile methodology.

  • Demonstrates exceptional technical skills with high proficiency in MS Office applications, Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or similar applications.

  • Emphasis on continued growth and development for self and team through resources like ASTD, COPC.com, and Gartner Contact Center studies.

  • Utilizes a variety of instructional strategies helpful for inspiring learning, including models, practice, and interactivity.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; extremely affable and professional at all times.

  • Action-oriented, results-driven, future-focused leader with a natural inclination for seeking opportunities that transform existing business models.

  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle complex subjects with ease and to communicate effectively with all levels, both verbally and written.

  • Proven ability to collaborate and develop strong, functional relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
