Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
As a Customer Experience Manager at Home Depot, you'll be responsible for a range of key tasks and activities, including:
- Driving Customer Satisfaction:
    
- Mentoring associates on customer service best practices and ensuring the team provides exceptional service.
 - Resolving customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
 - Preparing Department Managers and Floor Sales Associates for high-volume sales periods.
 - Monitoring customer flow through checkouts and taking action to ensure fast and friendly service.
 - Taking corrective action as needed to address customer concerns.
 
 - Developing and Engaging Associates:
    
- Providing coaching and feedback to associates based on observations and behavior.
 - Collaborating with Associate Senior Supervisors on formal performance discussions and disciplinary actions.
 - Recognizing and rewarding associates for demonstrating expected behaviors and performance.
 - Providing input to Associate Senior Supervisors on associate performance and participating in talent planning discussions.
 - Assisting with the interview and hiring process for new associates.
 
 - Leading Store Operations:
    
- Leading the store's opening and closing processes, including conducting daily briefings and walk-throughs.
 - Communicating priorities, needs, and tasks to associates.
 - Performing Opening, Closing, and Manager on Duty tasks, as well as other store-wide responsibilities.
 - Validating daily store needs with Associate Senior Supervisors and Senior Managers.
 - Ensuring associates complete store tasks according to timing expectations.
 
 
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be successful as a Customer Experience Manager at Home Depot, you'll need:
- Essential Qualifications:
    
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
 - Legally authorized to work in the United States.
 - Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
 
 - Preferred Qualifications:
    
- Experience in whole-store management or a related field.
 - Previous experience in big-box retail or the home improvement industry.
