Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Team Development: Select, train, and develop a high-performing team that embodies a culture of continuous improvement and voluntary effort. Ensure that all team members complete required training within established timelines.
 - Authority and Direction: Exercise supervisory responsibilities in accordance with FedEx's personnel policies and procedures, including recruiting, training, work allocation, performance evaluation, and addressing performance issues.
 - Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Conceptualize and lead initiatives that enhance operations, increase profitability, drive compliance, and improve the customer experience.
 - Process Development and Maintenance: Drive the development and maintenance of work procedures, best practices, and job standards in accordance with engineering principles to ensure safety, promote compliance, and maximize productivity.
 - Global Cargo Forwarding Capabilities: Coordinate the implementation of CargoWise, standardize system design, and ensure alignment with global processes, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
 - Client Responsibilities and Retention: Ensure that client responsibilities are quantifiably measured and reported; utilize continuous improvement tools to target areas where client retention is at risk.
 - Client Acquisition and Retention: Conceptualize and lead initiatives that drive client acquisition and retention within the market.
 - Quality Driven Management (QDM): Increase overall knowledge, support, and implementation of QDM processes that result in business improvement.
 - Global Collaboration: Work with global partners to drive cross-regional advancements and process standardization.
 - Additional Responsibilities: Perform, review, analyze, plan, implement, and follow up on any remaining tasks and initiatives as assigned.
 
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
 - Demonstrated expertise in driving performance, managing, and coordinating CargoWise into the global forwarding systems landscape.
 - Proven change management and project management experience driving operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives for cross-functional operations.
 - Significant related experience in managing and leading high-performing teams, improving processes, and transforming business operations.
 - Solid industry knowledge, successful leadership experience, and strong human relations and interpersonal skills.
 
Preferred qualifications include:
- Six Sigma, Lean, or other ASQ continuous improvement certifications, such as FedEx QDM Master.
 - Agile, PMP, or similar certifications.
