Program Assistant, Lead Direct Support Professional
Full-Time| Non- Exempt
Join our compassionate team to empower individuals with diverse abilities. The Program Assistant provides day-to-day support to Designated Coordinators in terms of operational tasks, staff and program management, reporting, and supervision of services and activities for individuals at a particular site. This role offers growth potential to transition into leadership roles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct on site, staff trainings (such as shadow shift, re-trainings, etc.) for all program and person-related needs as necessary as directed by DC
• Assist DC with drafting and updating the progress reports for all individuals
• Assist with semi-annual/annual meeting prep: My Life Packet update, discussing new goals and methods with person(s) and DC
• Manage health care appointments; scheduling, updating scheduler, updating DC of appointments, and post appointment information
• Attend and assist the DC with staff meetings
• Attend the annual meetings for the individuals as needed
• Weekly check-in with DC to keep them informed of staff-related and site-related issues and work with them to re-train the staff as needed
• Communicate staff performance or concerns to DC
• Escalate incidents, serious injuries or workers comp issues to the DC
• Oversee medication management onsite: (re)ordering medications, SOMs, maintaining backup medication book updates and checks, check in medications when delivered
• Create and manage the activity plan for the individuals
• Create and update weekly meal planning in coordination of the person(s) food budget and within dietary needs with the person(s)
• Create housekeeping and home maintenance plan with person(s) and then coordinate efforts with all site employees to perform; basic house cleaning schedule, laundry, and purchasing of groceries and household supplies
• Weekly reconciliation of the individual and program funds

• Sunday
• Monday 2p-10p
• Tuesday 2p-10p
• Wednesday 2p-10p
• Thursday 2p-10p
• Friday 2p-10p
• Saturday
Location: Minnetonka, MN
Rate of Pay: $21/hour

Requirements
What You Bring:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year experience providing direct care
• Possess and maintains a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle and maintains necessary insurance coverage
• Ability to read, write and speak English at a level that meets the performance requirements
• Ability to effectively use a computer and software, calculator, household appliances, etc.
• Ability to work independently with minimal instruction and make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Ability to maintain good employee relations and morale
• Ability to follow daily routines while allowing for flexibility and planning creative alternatives
• Ability to work and adapt to a variety of settings
