Position Summary

We’re seeking a full-time Senior Creative Direction Specialist for our Los Angeles-based corporate office. NYA SZN is a next-generation fashion brand on SHEIN working to build a strong, trend forward identity through bold visuals, elevated styling, and high-volume content. We’re looking for a Senior Creative Direction Specialist who can lead the brand’s visual storytelling across campaign and e-commerce shoots — from concept development to on-set execution, photo selection, and final content delivery.

This is a dual-role for a highly creative individual who brings both styling expertise and creative direction experience — someone who can concept and execute full shoots from start to finish, ensuring visual consistency across all NYA SZN platforms. This person will also help shape NYA SZN’s social media presence, ensuring our content is brand-aligned, scroll-stopping, and emotionally resonant. With an average of 2 shoots per week (sometimes up to 3), this is a fastpaced, high-output environment that requires strong time management, creative leadership, and follow-through from pre-production to post.

Job Responsibilities

Creative Direction & Execution

  • Lead concept development for e-commerce and brand shoots — from backdrop and lighting to mood, pose direction, and styling
  • Translate collection themes into creative plans that support monthly drops with cohesion and edge
  • Manage pre-production (casting input, set planning, styling pulls), on-set direction, and post-production feedback
  • Select final photos for e-comm and campaign usage, ensuring consistency, clarity, and brand alignment
  • Maintain and elevate the visual standard for all brand imagery across platforms
  • Provide strong creative input during fittings or product reviews to anticipate styling needs before shoot day

Styling

  • Style all NYA SZN e-commerce shoots, ensuring product is worn correctly, accessorized with intention, and reflects the brand’s tone
  • Curate jewelry, shoes, props, and model looks to create a high-impact visual moment — even in fast-turn environments
  • Maintain styling closets and pull lists with support from coordinator(s)

    • Social Media (Creative Oversight)

  • Support development of NYA SZN’s social media creative voice and content strategy in partnership with the Director
  • Generate content ideas and lightweight executions (BTS, trend moments, editorial videos, styling reels, etc.)
  • Ensure social content aligns visually and emotionally with what’s happening in the product pipeline

    • Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in creative direction, styling, or fashion content production — preferably at a trend-driven or digitally native fashion brand
  • Strong visual POV — you know when something is off, and you know how to fix it
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume shoot schedules with limited resources and fast turnarounds
  • Hands-on styling experience with body-conscious fashion across diverse body types
  • A portfolio that shows range, styling strength, and consistent brand storytelling
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and studio
  • Highly organized and able to manage time across multiple concurrent shoots and creative requests
  • Comfortable leading both e-commerce and more elevated / editorial shoots
  • Deep knowledge of fashion photography, current styling trends, and platform-native social content
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented — you don’t wait to be told what to fix
  • Bonus : experience using or guiding content for Instagram, TikTok, and / or other relevant platforms

    • Pay Range : $69,805 USD - $105,200 USD
